Obituary

Barbara Lunsford, 75, of Chiefland, passed away Aug. 9, 2007 at the Haven Hospice of the Tri-Counties.

Born in Saugus, MA. Barbara moved to Chiefland from Hialeah, FL 28 years ago. She was a member of the Hardeetown Baptist Church in Chiefland, the Chiefland Woman's Club for many years, a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of Chiefland Watermelon Festival, Christmas Parade Grand Marshall, and Scholarships for Chiefland High School. Barbara was on the board of Harmony Pregnancy Center and Levy County Housing. She was co-owner of Buds Marine & Sport Center with her husband, Bud Lunsford who passed away in Dec. of 2003.

She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Lord of Chiefland and Darlene St. Pierre of Port Charlotte, FL., her son, Frank Lunsford of Port St. Lucie, FL. and sister Jean Louise DeSilvestri, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband "Bud" Lunsford and her son, Bill Lunsford.
Services will be at 10:30 AM Aug. 11, 2007 at Hardeetown Baptist Church with Rev. Travis Hudson and Dr. Jerry Nash officiating. Burial will follow at Hardeetown Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00-7:00 PM at Hardeetown Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hardeetown Baptist Church Family Life Center building fund.

Arrangements are under the care of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1301 N. Young Blvd., Chiefland FL.
