Obituary

Dorothy Pauline Sapp Canova, 68 of Cedar Key, passed away at Haven Hospice of the Tri Counties on Saturday, March 2, 2013. Mrs. Canova was born in Gainesville. She resided in Trenton before moving to Cedar Key about 10 years ago. She was employed for the Alachua County School Board for 27 years. She enjoyed cooking for her grand kids and family and she was a Gator Football fan.

She is survived by her children, Teresa and Brian Smith of Cedar Key, David and Amanda Canova of Orlando, her father, S. E. Sapp( Cristel ), brothers, Joe ( Susan) Sapp, Alvin ( Aida ) Sapp, Carl Sapp, Raymond ( Lydia ) Sapp, half brother Ervin Sap and half sister, Lucy Sapp., grandchildren, Gavan, Cason, Grayson and Molly. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Webster Sapp Thomas and her husband, George Elmer Canova.

Visitation will be Friday, March 8, 2013 from 6-8 pm, at Hiers- Baxley Chapel and Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 11am at the Hiers-Baxley Chapel, with burial to follow.
