CEDAR KEY SCHOOL HOSTS 24th ISLAND CITY YOUNG AUTHORS’ CONFERENCE

Submitted by Linda Campbell

Cedar Key School is hosting the 24th annual Island City Young Authors` Conference. The Conference will take place on Friday May 3rd from 8:30 AM until noon. Our featured author is Kim Norman. Ms. Norman has authored many young children`s books, including TEN ON A SLED and CROCADADDY. We will also be entertained by storyteller Will Irby, who will share one of Marjorie Kinnan Rawling`s tales. A Book Sale will take place in the Media Center. Our K through 5 elementary students will also share their own books during the Authors` Chair. Students will enjoy a picnic lunch on that day and may order from the cafeteria or bring their own. It`s sure to be a day enjoyed by all.
