Sports Banquet Mikayla Pope, Shark Correspondent After a year of hard work, sweat, and determination the Shark athletes were recognized all together at the Sports Banquet on May 2nd. Each coach went on stage and offered awards to their athletes. Coach Brad ran the event and was the first speak on behalf of his teams- Cross Country and Track. Each track student that went to State received a plaque in their honor- this included: Brooke Allen, Tyler Anderson, and Kevin Carswell. Seventh grader McKenzie Kirkbride earned the Cross Country MVP award. Cheryl Allen, the volleyball coach was next with the Cheerleading coach, Amy Parks following next. The basketball coaches took the stage to congratulate each player on a job well done. Grad Bash 2013 Molly Gordon, Shark Correspondent While graduation remains to be first on the list of important events for a senior in their last year of high school, Grad Bash is usually pretty high on that list as well. Universal Studios in Orlando hosts what seniors call "an insanely fun, but super tiring event" for seniors from all parts of Florida. Schools arrived by the bus-loads at 8 pm and the gates close behind them, meaning they are "trapped" in the park until 2 am and are able to ride as many roller coasters as possible for the 6 hours. Cedar Key Students were not so fortunate in their trip to Orlando this past Friday. When the students arrived, the sky opened up and a storm of wind and rain soaked them all. Regardless of the downpour, the wet clothes and the heavy water-filled shoes, the students of Cedar Key School continued to enjoy their night. Senior Spotlight: Keith Eberhardt Sarah G.
