Senior Spotlight: Sarah Martin

By Lauren Bartholemy, Shark Correspondent

Sarah Martin the highlighted female senior this week. Sarah is class of 2013 salutatorian, a position achieved only with hard work and determination. Sarah has participated in SGA, FBLA, FFEA, Sr. Beta, Cheerleading, Basketball, and Track and Field. After all her hard work at Cedar Key School, Sarah plans on attending Santa Fe College, and then transferring to the University of Florida to earn her bachelor`s in nursing.

Sarah enjoys hanging out with her friends, sleeping and learning new things-especially from her favorite teacher, Mrs. Lauren Adams. Her favorite memories of school were setting up for her junior prom. Sarah loves the small class sizes at Cedar Key and how caring the teachers are. She will miss "being able to walk into a place and know everybody`s name because [she] grew up with them." In ten years Sarah sees herself as a nurse practitioner and hopefully "beginning a family".

Cedar Key School has watched Sarah as she grew up, accomplishing her hopes and dreams. We wish Sarah the best of luck, and know she will do great things.

Senior Spotlight: Eli Glaze

Rebecca Russo, Shark Correspondent

Although Eli Glaze has only been a student here for two years he has made a lasting impression on Cedar Key students and teachers. When asked what his favorite thing about CKS is, Eli responded: "That it`s more personal than other schools." Eli says he does not have one favorite teacher: "I don`t have a favorite teacher, they`re all perfect."

Eli`s favorite hobbies include driving and playing his Xbox. His favorite song is "Back in Black" by AC/DC. His most memorable moment at Cedar Key School is constructing the senior prom from last year.

After graduation, Eli plans to go into the military or college. He sees himself in ten years working on his career of mechanical engineering. Eli says he is going to miss all the teachers and friends he has made a Cedar Key School. Eli, Cedar Key School will miss you, too!
