Cedar Key artists Marsha Schwartz (l) and Chris Rexroat at the opening Nov. 4

November`s Gallery show was a collaborative effort between two of our local artistis, Chris Rexroat (basketry) and Marsha Schwartz (mosaics). The talent and creativity of these two Cedar Key Artists can be enjoyed throughout the
month of November at the CKAC main gallery. Both artists have shared their experience through workshops over the last several years and the exhibit includes art created by some of their students.

Marsha and Chris collaborated to create a stunning mosaic lamp with basketry shade (shown in the picture). Chris`s new line of work, called "skin and bones," is a also highlighted in the show, as well as the work of several of her previous students who have now taken off with their own special style. Marsha`s students were encouraged to be creative and think "outside the box." The result is a fascinating variety of mosaic creations from tables and chairs to decorated gourds.

The CKAC Gallery is open everyday of the week. Enjoy the show.
