ANNOUNCEMENT

During the recent Small Boat Meet, the local Cedar Key arts community gathered together to introduce local artists and art galleries to visitors and participants in the Small Boat Meet.

The event, conceptualized by Chris Harkness and Kathleen Tuck of Cedar Key, blended Boats and Art.

As part of the celebration, Cedar Key Pottery announced a contest for the winner of a blue bowl, made by Henry Gernhardt. The blue bowl has the distinction of being chosen one of the "Perfect Pots in the Twentieth Century" by Ulysses Dietz, curator of the Newark Museum.

And the winner is Carl Walters of Vancouver, British Columbia and Cedar Key. Sandra Buckingham, right, receives the bowl from Henry Gernhardt on behalf of Carl Walters.
