Sidewalks & Trash

Sidewalks & Trash

George Magnus Johnson, MD

To the Editor,

Cedar Key, what a wonderful place. We`ll always come as we are able.

But two concerns. The first is lack of a walking and bicycle sidewalk or lane to bridge number one (or 4?). With increased biking and increased vehicular traficc, esp. those vehicles who do not turn on lights @ dusk, someone sooner or later is certain to be killed! To state this endeaver is "paving over paradise" seems to be patently ridiculous.

Issue number two is trash. Even though the county picks up trash along state highway 24 and county road 347 trash, often big bags of it, is flung into the ditch. Now there is the flow in paradise! I would volunteer and I think others would too to spend a half day each week to "clean up".

Sincerely,
George Magnus Johnson, MD
