Mrs. Worthington began her career as a teller with First Federal Savings and Loan in Bronson and was employed there for eight years. In 1982, she accepted a position as Head Teller for Capital City Bank in Cedar Key where she has remained for thirty-one years advancing to her present position as Community Banker & Market Leader. She has been actively involved in community service during her employment with Capital City Bank having served in the past with the Cedar Key Chamber of Commerce as Director, Vice President, President, and Treasurer. In 1997, Mrs. Worthington received the prestigious Julian V. Smith Community Service Award from Capital City Bank of which she is very proud. In 2010, she received the Spirit Award and in 2011 the Sales & Service Leadership Award. Mrs. Worthington has witnessed and experienced numerous innovations during her tenure including adding interest on calculators to the advent of computer calculation, automatic money counters, online banking and direct deposit/withdrawal to name a few.
