After several months of relative quiet in Cedar Key in the first week of May two men were arrested for driving under the influence. Early May 1 Ian W. Anderson, 31, of Cedar Key was stopped for driving a Jeep without taillights, and was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence according to police records. Near midnight May 4, Gary Ray Cannon, 31, of Bell, according to a police report was stopped for erratic driving. Cannon was arrested for driving under the influence. Both Anderson and Cannon failed roadside sobriety tests and were taken to the Levy County Jail where both failed breath alcohol tests.
