Mystic Isle aground at Cedar Key.

For the second time in recent months a vessel has washed up on the Cedar Key Beach. A sail boat reportedly owned by Calvin Henderson of Cedar Key lodged on the City Park beach March 15 according to Brian Husson who towed it off the beach. The following day the boat again washed ashore on the beach just east of Cedar Cove Marina. Hussan told Cedar Key News that the boat is so far aground that it may be May before there is a sufficiently high tide to refloat the craft.

This case follows groundings in December of 2006 when vandals set Terry Hitt's houseboat adrift on two successive occasions. That case of vandalism has been linked by some to the same perpetrators of arson to the dock at Natures Landing. However, no arrests have been made to date.
