Cosmic Tips to Holiday Shopping

Cosmic Tips to Holiday Shopping

Sioux Rose

If you find yourself stumped in our modern mundane Mecca regarding what gift to purchase for any significant others, perhaps the stars can guide you to stellar choices. After all they once performed the tougher task of leading navigators to whole "new" worlds. Here is a Zodiac guide to holiday shopping:

Aries: The sign of the ram is associated with the face and head and that factor should provide ample clues. Purchase earrings and make-up for her, a classy hat for him. Given that every head comes equipped with a brain, mentally stimulating gifts designed to exercise gray matter otherwise predisposed to lay dormant offers a secondary line of shopping strategy. In this respect, books, how-to kits, and instructive videos score high.

Taurus: The sign of the bull governs the mouth and throat and is home to many of the world's great chefs, not to mention volunteer eaters. Culinary delights, barbecue equipment, and the latest kitchen fare make apropos gift choices for this sturdy sign. Sweaters and scarves in sensual fabrics bear tribute to Venus, planetary ambassador of this zodiac realm, as do melodic musical tapes.

Gemini: The ever-curious sign of the twins holds a notable analogy with a barrel of monkeys. Gemini's interests change rapidly as they're ever on the go, and frequently ensconced in one form of communication or another. Telephone equipment (the latest cell-phone) represents a logical gift choice for members of this sign. Magazine subscriptions, computer scanners, and small, efficient cameras also resonate with Gemini's tastes. Since this sign governs the hands, a warm pair of gloves may come in handy with winter's edge heading south early this year.

Cancer: The moon-ruled sign of the zodiac is said to cherish home, family, and conservative traditions. Since the domestic domain constitutes their personal castle, a cozy rocking chair or inviting sheets/bedspread sets make good gift selections. Given that the kitchen constitutes the heart of most homes, attractive dishware or enticing delicacies make notable holiday choices. Pajamas, bathrobes, and warm slippers come in handy for the sign that truly believes there is no place like home.

Leo: The sign of the lion was endowed with the kind of courage that enables them to live from their heart(s). Leo resonates with the element of gold. As a result many Leos enjoy boasting gold jewelry, with a heart symbol being an especially cherished one. Fine chocolate wrapped in gold (wrap) also hits the royal spot, a/k/a sweet tooth. Exotic coffees or a gift certificate to dine at a romantic get-away are practically guaranteed to pluck Leo's quixotic chords.

Virgo: No sign renders cleanliness closer to Godliness than the neat and tidy Virgo. You can't go wrong purchasing top-of-the-line designer soaps and fresh scented bodily creams and ointments. Should the Virgo shoulder any aches from those considerable services rendered to meet the mandate of their sign's calling, vitamins, herbs, and a gift certificate for a therapeutic massage make wise investments in a gift selection process aimed their way.

Libra: The zodiac's sign of the balance often has a thing for clocks. The gift purchase of a classy watch lets Libra know that you know what time it is where they are concerned! Cosmic cousin to Taurus, Libra is also governed by the love star Venus; and she happens to be the zodiac's patron of the arts. Libra natives enjoy culture. A gift certificate for a theatrical production in one of our neighboring cities would make an excellent choice for these Renaissance men and women. Or go the aesthetic route and leave a certificate for a (gratis)facial, manicure, or pedicure in their holiday stocking.

Scorpio: The zodiac's realm of mystery brings the world its scientists and sleuths. Even if they operate as ordinary citizens, Scorpios appear to hold under-cover status! Small video-cameras and surveillance paraphernalia appeal to their secretive natures. Since they naturally gravitate towards ferreting out mysteries, a telescope, microscope, or alluring book on archaeology (or the mysteries of the Ancients) would also hit the mark. In rated R relationships, dazzling lingerie or evocative undies could also take aim at—and hit--another spot.

Sagittarius: The zodiac's archer is natural nature buff, athlete, and sportsman/woman. Archery equipment, a new bicycle, or safari attire comes to cosmic mind when you're shopping for this on the go sign. Linked to international travels, Sagittarius possesses eclectic taste when it comes to fine art. Beautiful art books revealing treasures of a distant land make good gift choices, that is, if your budget precludes actual tickets to ride off in pursuit of an exotic horizon.

Capricorn: This no-nonsense business-oriented sign probably invented the ledger and desk organizer. Quality objects for the office are good gift selections. Does your significant other need a new leather brief case, wallet, or pocket pilot? Since Capricorn is last to call for a time-out (as true believers of the Protestant Work Ethic), offering them a set of self-indulgent spa treatments as a psychological respite away from their daily Atlas tasks would prove a wonderful gift choice.

Aquarius: The eclectic Aquarian is a born inventor and often explores cutting edge electronic technologies before the rest of us even know that they exist. They love to be surprised, and have a penchant for rendering that service to others, invited or otherwise. Therefore when shopping for an Aquarian, the more outrageous the gift, the better. Linda Goodman recommended a time machine, but they're not easy to find at malls these days. You could improvise on this theme by purchasing fine family albums in which to place photographic memories of the past, as you contemplate the means to future transport for this loved one.

Pisces: The sign of fish and things of the deep blue sea may in fact have a love of boats, diving, snorkeling, and fishing. Equipment to aid and abet any of those fascinations makes a grand gift selection. A small aquarium is another dreamy choice for this imaginative sign. Many Pisces persons seem to intuitively understand the workings of computers. To broaden this talent base, evocative computer software would make a worthy gift selection. In case you didn't know it, Pisces governs the feet. Good running shoes and/or well-made socks tickle their fancies, among other things. Is there a local reflexologist offering gift certificates in your midst?
