Charity is the focus of a local event this December 14th. On that night, from 5 until 7 pm; Cedar Key Methodist Church will be the location for a soup supper.

The event is a fundraiser for the local food pantry.

We are seeking volunteers to participate. If you have a church group, or a youth group which would like to participate, this would be a good reason to do so.

If you made a bowl at the summer art program, bring your parents and grandparents to share in your achievement.

Coordinated by Peggy and Bill Delaino, the local food pantry distributes food to area individuals. Occasionally, the coffers need to be refilled. In this instance, pottery bowls made by local school children and others will feature locally donated prepared food. The participants not only get to share a delicious meal, they get to take home the hand crafted bowls the soup is served in. A voluntary contribution will be accepted.

If anyone is interested in participating in this event, either by donating soup or bread, or salad or dessert, or serving, please call 543-9165.

If all you have to contribute is a healthy appetite, we certainly need those too! All are welcome.
