ONLY ONE CITY CONTEST ON MAY 8 BALLOT

Friday, March 16, was the deadline for candidates to qualify for Cedar Key`s May 8 election for open seats on the City Commission and on the Water and Sewer Board.

For the City Commission, the terms of Scott Dennison (Seat No. 2) and Heath Davis (Seat No. 4) expire this year.

Commissioner Davis has declined to run for a new term; thus, Dave Feigin, the sole candidate for Seat No. 4, will run unopposed.

Commissioner Dennison will run for a new term, and he will be opposed in a contest for Seat No. 2 by Margy VanLandingham.

Water Board Commissioners holding the three expiring Water Board seats will run unopposed for renewal terms.
