Marina Dredging Reresumes

Jim Hoy

Reresume is not in the dictionary, but resumption of dredging has begun again in the Cedar Key Marina. Liquid spoils are being pumped into giant tanker trucks and hauled to be spread near Newberry. A fleet of five tankers will soon be carrying spoils that are too soft to walk on and too thick to swim in. Meanwhile, the solid spoils that contain sand will be scooped up and removed from the parking area on the south side of the Marina.
