And the Contest Winners Are...

Jim Hoy

Cedar Key News ran a contest from May 6 till June 10 to find out where our online readers live. We already knew that about 1700 computer users check our web site each day. Now we know that we have readers from as far away as Maine in the U.S. and British Columbia in Canada. Responses came from eighteen states and two Canadian provinces.

The contest winners met a simple requirement, simply e-mailing the message "I love Cedar Key News" and their mailing addresses, with the first five responders from Levy County, Florida outside Levy County and Outside Florida receiving awards.

The winners are:

Levy County: Judy Molitor, Cedar Key; Brack Barker, Williston; Robert Davis, Inglis.

Florida Outside Levy County: George Oakley, Ft. Pierce; Micah O'Brien, Jacksonville; Nan Thornquist, Gainesville; Mary Hatcher, Gainesville; Catherine Florko Crawfordville.

Outside Florida: Rebecca Greenberg, Eastport ME, Julie Toutges, Milwaukee WI; Donna Harris, Hahira GA; June Cuthbertson, Hahira GA; Meshalle Limb, Bowling Green, KY.

The Bonus Award goes to Sandra Buckingham, Vancouver, British Columbia, for the responder from the greatest distance from Cedar Key.

Winners, your checks are in the mail. Thanks for your participation. And, thanks to the dozens of other readers who responded a bit after the winners.
